What is Singapore's Do Not Call registry?
The Do Not Call (DNC) Registry is part of Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. It lets individuals register their Singapore phone numbers to opt out of marketing messages, and it requires organisations to check the registry before sending marketing calls, texts, or faxes to those numbers.
Before sending a marketing message to a Singapore number, an organisation generally has to check whether that number is listed on the relevant DNC register, unless it has clear, unexpired consent from the person to send it.
The rules apply to voice calls, SMS, and faxes sent for marketing purposes. They sit alongside the wider PDPA obligations on how personal data is collected, used, and disclosed.
